our world is not messed up
it's perfectly round
our hair is not nappy
it just shows we're tough
and we are not "ghetto"
we've just had enough
our language is not slang
it is historically profound
that language where you have to know when to use it,
depending on who you're around
our bodies are not unhealthy
we eat the food "we" made

"the food that was planted by our former slaves"
we african americans have made history
the "whites" didnt do it alone
